UAA Annual Meeting Town Hall Next Week

The UAA’s is hosting a virtual annual meeting town hall on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, 2:30 p.m. to 3:20 p.m., CDT (US & Canada). This is an opportunity to reflect on the organization’s achievements of the past year and look ahead to new plans and goals for 2026 and beyond.

Members should login to the Member Portal and go to the events page to access the meeting.

If you cannot make this event, you will be able to access the recording on the Member Portal under “Quick Links” and “Webinars”. We’ll share when the session is live in the January 2026 Monthly Update.

Only 6 Days Remain for Career Guide Survey

Who Can You Nominate for a UAA Award?

It’s time to spotlight the people who exemplify excellence, innovation, and leadership in the field of utility arboriculture.

The UAA Awards nomination period opened on December 1, 2025, and will continue through Saturday, February 28, 2026.

Before choosing your nominations, take a moment to familiarize yourself with the five award categories:

  • Will Nutter Silver Shield – Given to individuals who are on the front line of safety and may have official or unofficial roles within an organization. They influence and promote a safety culture at every turn.
  • Utility Arborist – Presented to an individual who has made a significant contribution to the field of Utility Arboriculture.
  • Education Award – Honors an individual who has added to the knowledge and practices of the Utility Arborist.
  • Lifetime Achievement – Recognizes the person who has reached many milestones during his/her career as a Utility Arborist.
  • Rising Star – Given to individuals who are relatively early in their career yet have already shown leadership of the organization and the industry.
