Who Will Lead Us? UAA Board Nominations are Live 

Nominations for the UAA Board of Directors opened on May 1. We are putting out a call to the visionaries committed to advancing safety, innovation, and professional standards across our field. 

We need leaders who can drive excellence and ensure we remain the voice of ROW vegetation management.  

We currently have openings for the following positions: 

  • Vice President 
  • Two Directors  

This is more than a volunteer role. It is your opportunity to influence the direction of our profession. Whether you nominate yourself or a peer, you are helping to identify the advocates for our industry’s growth and stewardship on a national stage. 

Before you submit your nomination, please keep these requirements in mind: 

  • You must be an active UAA member to submit a nomination or to be nominated. If your membership has expired, follow the prompt on the Member Portal to renew it and then you will have access to the form. 
  • Once you log into the portal, look for the link to submit your nominee. 
  • The deadline is Sunday, May 31, 2026. 

 

There is an App for ROW 14 

In just four days, the Environmental Concerns in Rights-of-Way Management 14th International Symposium kicks off in Vancouver, British Columbia. 

From May 11- 14, the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver will be our global hub for environmental research, utility vegetation management, and industry innovation. Whether you are a first-time attendee or a seasoned symposium veteran, this year is particularly special as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of ROW, and everything you need will be at your fingertips on the ROW 14 app:

There is Power in Numbers: Join the UAA Membership Drive 

This month, we’re inviting our members to help strengthen the UAA by growing our community. 

Our goal is simple and ambitious: add 200 new members between May 1 – May 31. Every referral helps expand the voice of the ROW industry and strengthens the network that supports our work. 

Individuals enrolled through a new company-provided membership during the drive also count toward our goal. 

Recognition Incentives for Referring Members: 

  • Entry into a drawing for a complimentary registration to a UAA-hosted regional event between June 1, 2026, and May 31, 2027, when a referred member signs up.
