Join us in Texas for Trees & Utilities 2024

Save the date for September 10-14, 2024, and join us in Fort Worth, Texas, for the Trees & Utilities Conference.

We broke attendance records in Pittsburgh this year, so naturally we hope to surpass 1,000 people next year, especially in Texas where everything is bigger and better.

What can you do in the meantime? The Call for Papers opens on Wednesday, December 13, 2023. We need you to contribute to the conversation at our next event.

So mark your calendars, bookmark the website and follow Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn for updates on Trees & Utilities in the coming months and year.

A Record-Setting Crowd and Remarkable Venue Highlighted T&U Pittsburgh

As the UAA’s New President, Brandon Hughson sat watching attendees at the opening ceremony of Trees & Utilities 2023, he saw a large number of hands raised when people were asked if this year was their first-ever conference.

“Our industry continues to expand,” says Hughson. “What we’re seeing from the content offered and the caliber of people who are attending, is that Trees & Utilities is where people want to be. They want the new ideas, the ways to learn from one another and expand their knowledge base. That is the most exciting aspect of all.”

Total attendance reached 1,015 in Pittsburgh. That’s up from 861 people in Milwaukee last year. One-hundred booths were set up on the floor of the David L. Lawrence Convention Center (DLCC) in downtown Pittsburgh – which was the world’s first fully-sustainable convention center – something the UAA enjoyed and supported as the conference backdrop.

“The (DLCC) site is on the river with a lot of natural lighting,” says Dennis Fallon, UAA Executive Director. “The trade show floor included a deck with the river floating in the background and created the atmosphere that felt like you were right in the middle of it.

“The event space operates as environmentally stable,” adds Fallon. “The DLCC uses and monitors its own waste water reclamation plant, a natural ventilation system, low or no VOC paints, carpeting, adhesives and sealants, and recycles all trade show materials, to name a few. This is important to our attendees.”
