The Utility Arborist Award recognizes Vince Mikulanis’ nearly two decades of dedicated service to the UAA, the utility vegetation management profession, and the advancement of industry best practices. Throughout his career, Vince has combined hands-on field leadership with a strong commitment to education and professional development.

Vince serves on both the UAA Editorial Committee and Outreach Committee, helping guide important industry resources, including the bi-monthly UAA Newsline and the annual T&D World Vegetation Management Supplement. He is also a frequent presenter at Western Chapter ISA and regional UAA events, where he shares practical, field-tested insights that help strengthen utility vegetation management programs across North America.

“(I am) deeply honored to receive the Utility Arborist Award,” shared Vince. “To be recognized alongside peers who are genuine legends in our industry is humbling.”

Vince’s impact extends beyond industry involvement. His contributions to major utility initiatives include wildfire-risk reduction efforts with Southern California Edison, LiDAR-based clearance compliance projects for Bear Valley Electric Service, and system-wide vegetation management improvements for the Western Area Power Administration. In recognition of his leadership and contributions, he received the WCISA President’s Award in 2024.

“I owe a huge debt of gratitude to every client, mentor, and teammate I’ve worked with over my nearly 25 years at Davey Resource Group, Inc.,” Vince reflected. “As our industry continues to adapt and grow, I’m excited to continue driving innovation for the next generation!”

Congratulations, Vince, on your well-deserved recognition and thank you for your continued dedication to advancing the UVM profession.
