Help Us Complete the 2027 UAA Events Calendar

The 2027 UAA Events Calendar is filling up quickly! There are only a few opportunities remaining to host events in communities across the region.

Interested in bringing a regional meeting or safety summit to your area? Openings are currently available in March and June. We encourage you to share your ideas and submit a proposal. The UAA Events Committee will review all submissions and follow up with next steps.

Don’t miss the chance to showcase your community while helping connect and engage fellow members.

Got a Great Webinar Idea? Share It with UAA Members

One of the greatest benefits of UAA membership is the opportunity to learn from one another. That’s why we’re looking for knowledgeable, passionate experts to lead our monthly webinar series.

Have a topic you’d like to present? We’d love to hear from you. There are still eight webinar slots available on the 2027 calendar, with February being the first open opportunity.

Whether you have best practices, case studies, safety insights, or emerging trends to discuss, your experience could help educate and inspire fellow members.

Submit your topic through our webinar registration form. We look forward to hearing your ideas and helping you connect with our community.

Welcome to the Intersection of Safety and Environmental Stewardship

Starting this month, we begin a year-long series of UAA Safety Messages in the Monthly Update E-newsletter.

These plant safety resources are championed by the UAA Environmental Stewardship Committee. Each message will include plant identification tips, safety hazards, recommended PPE, distribution maps, helpful links, references, and a QR code for additional information.

The series kicks off with the invasive species, giant hogweed. It is prevalent in Washington state, so attendees traveling by road or rail to Trees & Utilities in Portland, Oregon, may notice it along the way.

Read the first installment in this e-newsletter and be sure to add these valuable safety resources to your toolbox in the coming year.
