A More Flexible, Customized Approach to UAA Sponsorship

The UAA is introducing a new, more flexible Organizational Sponsorship structure for 2027 designed to better align with the needs of industry partners while continuing to support the association’s mission of professional development, outreach, research, education, safety, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence. As the Voice of the Utility Vegetation Management (UVM) Industry, the UAA remains committed to empowering professionals and fostering collaboration that advances the industry.

The updated sponsorship program will feature a customizable approach, allowing organizations to start with a base sponsorship package and add the sponsorship opportunities and bonus benefits that best fit their goals. This new model expands engagement options, increases flexibility, and creates greater impact for sponsors while maintaining the value of existing sponsorship benefits.

Register for an informational session on Weds., July 22, then mark your calendars to check our sponsor page and sign up starting on Saturday, August 1.

Help Build the First Cooperative UVM Benchmark Report

How does your cooperative’s vegetation management program compare to others across the country? The Utility Arborist Association (UAA) and Bloom Spatial are partnering to answer that question through a new industry survey designed specifically for electric cooperatives.

The survey collects anonymous, aggregated data that will be used to create a benchmark report highlighting trends, best practices, and opportunities within cooperative vegetation management programs.

“Our goal is simple,” says Pablo Fuentes, Co-Founder and CEO of Bloom Spatial, which will compile the UVM Benchmark Report. “We want to provide co-ops with valuable information they can use to evaluate their programs, improve operations, and strengthen best management practices through cooperation and shared learning.”

Participation is quick, taking just seven minutes to complete, and the survey closes on Monday, July 20. Organizers encourage anyone who started the survey but has not yet finished to take a few minutes and submit their responses.

The resulting report will be available in both printed and digital formats and shared with the industry at the Trees & Utilities Conference. By participating, co-ops will help create a resource that benefits the entire cooperative community. As with all cooperative efforts, the focus is not on individual gain but on collaboration and helping others succeed.
